OK, this theme has been sitting in my TO DO list for ages....so I hunted around for some colours to match it and decided to use this as our February theme. I know it is somewhat different for us, but I do try to accommodate all members and some like this kind of palette and theme. I hope to see some extra people climb aboard this month whom I haven't seen for ages! lol So I hope I have given you enough time to complete, as the due date is three days earlier than normal to give me time to get the blog roll together before we leave Mildura, as I will be visiting Susan (Tooty) in Mildura for around 10 days in February.

You may make Tagger, Full Size, CU, QP's whatever you like - just be sure to let your visitors know what your items are!
You may call your kit/items anything you wish just so long as it fits into the theme.

With Christmas come and gone and the New Year fast approaching, Valentine's will next be on our list. So our next theme focuses on that. I ummed and ahhed whether to do a darker theme or stick with the regular kind. But I think the majority here like more traditional colours. I guess I should have put it to a vote but I have been so busy and with everything going on with having to put my dear little man to sleep 5 days before Christmas (last week), then I got sick, well I just didn't give it a thought. In the meantime I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Join us as we celebrate Christmas Around the World and how each part of the world celebrates the festive season a little differently. From the more traditionally known with snow, cold winters and warm fires to the warmer climates of Australia or South Africa where Christmas is often celebrated at the beach, by the pool or around a BBQ! There is something here for everybody and we hope you enjoy our last train for the year and we welcome you back with us when we return in January!

Can you believe it Christmas is just around the corner AGAIN? Only 10 weeks and I haven't even begun to be ready for it. lol
But this year I thought we would do something a little different. I always try to make our themes a little different from the others, as who wants a bunch of themes all the same? lol So with this theme we decided to take Christmas Around the World and have YOU depict Christmas in YOUR part of the world. And for an added difference, there is also room for a 7th colour on the palette left for you to choose the colour - to make each of your kits unique! We all look forward to what YOU can come up with.

The Twilight Train Departs

The Brat Pack "Twilight Train"

I just 34 days "Breaking Dawn Part 1" hits cinemas all over the world and to celebrate its impending release the Brat Pack have a train-load of goodies for you this month!

From the beginning we have followed the love story between Edward and Bella and with the first part of this final chapter we finally see the couple wed and enjoy a wonderful honeymoon on a secluded island....but it is brought to an abrupt end. Bella is pregnant, and with the forces against them, Bella draws on the support of an unlikely ally. Will this be the end for Bella? Or is this just the beginning?

It's almost the time we've been waiting for...the first installment of the final chapter to the Twilight Saga! "Breaking Dawn" premieres in just two months' time and while most of us fans know what happens next we are still waiting on the edge of our seats to see it come to life on the big screen.
So October sees us celebrate what's to come with our "Twilight Train" - the theme/title chosen as voted by you and the fans (results still on the blog) to celebrate not only the long-awaited wedding between Edward and Bella, but the promise of forever. It's summer; it's blistering and it's hot...even in the shade! Yes, you heard right -
it is hot in the shade this month with the Brat Pack. So (in the words of an old Aussie

on a hat"....and bask in the wonderful summer sunshine! For all too soon it will come to

A nice fresh palette for something summery. We could use some of that summer warmth about now here in Australia....lol Been cold the last few days and nights here.

Paws for a Cause is Coming....

This month we decided to pay tribute to our furry friends this month as here in Australia on Sunday 15th May all over the country the RSPCA Million Paws Walk will take place. This year will be Ciara's third and will be Jasper's first. All proceeds go to funding the RSPCA, of which Sydney's shelter is close to capacity at the moment and urging people who are looking for a pet to adopt one.

So I have used the colours from this years event, and the MPW website http://www.millionpawswalk.com.au/ - you can check it out if you wish for information on exactly what the walk entails and how it works. It's a lot of fun for pet owners. The Million PawsPublish Post Walk is primarily for dogs, but it has at attracted all kinds of pets, as well as cats, in some of the more rural areas with horses, rabbits and the like. So feel free to make something in honour of our furry friends - dogs, cats, horses...anything with paws (well, hooves for horses...lol) I am constantly asked for kits on dogs, as there seem to be a lot of cat ones, but some other animals I am sure will be welcomed also.

You may make a sampler of a PTU kit you wish you place in store. For myself, I think all proceeds from the PTU kit will go to the RSPCA here in Australia. I encourage you to perhaps do the same in your own country, if you wish. These organisations are only very minimally funded by the government with the rest of their funds coming from donations and sponsors and events like the Million Paws Walk.

Ok this is something different for most of you, as many of you cannot imagine celebrating Christmas in summer, whilst us in the Southern Hemisphere can't quite imagine it falling in winter. lol But here in Australia some places have had an occasion to hold a "Christmas in July" celebration, though it's not always quite the same. *g* But with this theme we can incorporate our season in July with Christmas. See if we can't come up with something unique and different! *s*

What this theme means is that you think of all the things you wish that you associate with your mum/mom to create a reflection of your own mother. This is why I don't believe a palette would work as for mothers and Mothers Day usually means all things feminine and quite frankly that's not my mum. lol
